The Challenge
NovaWallet's legacy wallet took nine screens to send money and failed KYC for 22% of applicants. App store ratings had sunk to 3.2 amid complaints about failed transfers.
Our Solution
We rebuilt the wallet in React Native with a three-tap transfer flow, biometric authentication and real-time FX across 11 currencies. Server-driven KYC with document pre-validation cut rejection rates, and a NestJS transaction layer with idempotency keys eliminated duplicate payments.
The Results
The new wallet onboarded 850K users in its first year with a 4.7★ rating across both stores. KYC completion rose from 78% to 96%, and day-30 retention reached 64%.
